Alternative Dispute Resolution Unit

Borno Amicable Settlement Corridor was estbalished on 1st August, 2009 by directives of the Hon. Chief Judge, Justice Kashim Zannah. It was established with the aim to ease justice delivery by providing alternative to litigation in resolving disputes among parties.

The Amicable Settlement Corridor adopted four approach in resolving disputes, these are;

• Early Neutral Evaluation
• Mediation
• Abitration
• Sulhu (in Arabic, Means Resolution)

Alternative Dispute Resolution Unit of the High Court receives applications from individuals or their legal representative, referal by court, tribunal or communinity leaders.
