The I.T. Section of the Judiciary is responsible for managing,
administering, and implementing I.T. solutions in the acquisition or use of ICT in the organization
such as the following:
- Access control
- Use of Software
- Protection from Malicious Software
- I.T. Security
- Physical and environmental security
- Incident response (for managing security breaches and other Incidences)
- Telecommunication
- Email use
- Internet use
- Technology or device management (like laptops, cell phones, or cameras)
- Mobile technology
- Monitoring or interception of communications
- User accounts and passwords
- Backing up of information
- Social media
- Digitisation (or document imaging)
Judiciary Information Technology Policy -JITPO, is a policy document deigned
to be a standard I.T. Policy
document for the Judiciary I.T. Sections across all level which was peer-reviewed by Consultants from the National Centre
for State Courts (NCSC), USA.
